Dr. Monica Johnsonbaugh Focus 313 Eyecare

DR. MONICA JOHNSONBAUGH

Dr. Monica Johnsonbaugh strives to provide her patients with the highest level of comprehensive eye care for the entire family. She graduated from Butler University with concentrations in Biology, Business and Spanish. She received her doctorate in Optometry from Indiana University, where she graduated with honors. Her experience includes practicing in tandem with ophthalmologists specializing in glaucoma, cataracts, corneal disease, retinal disease and pediatrics.

Dr. Johnsonbaugh serves as a consultant for Bausch + Lomb and lectures to doctors across the United States and internationally on advancements in the optometric industry. She is a board member for Women in Optometry and Primary Care Optometry News, serving alongside the leaders and innovators in her profession. She has appeared on Fox News Detroit to discuss eye care and was recently awarded the title Young Innovator by Primary Care Optometry News for practicing progressively, providing innovative patient care and conducting optometric research. She has received many awards and honors throughout her career and authored and published dry eye research which she presented at the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology as well as the American Academy of Optometry.  

She has a special interest in specialty contact lens fittings, dry eye treatment and pediatric examinations.  She and her husband, Andrew, reside in Grosse Pointe Shores and have two young daughters. Dr. Johnsonbaugh has a friendly, outgoing personality and loves to get to know her patients and their families. She enjoys running, traveling and spending time with her family! Don’t be surprised if you see her running through the community or at one of the local yoga studios!
